Model

Resin/SLA printers have quickly become indispensable in dental offices and labs. The problem is the resin is toxic and a source of volatile organic compounds that both smell bad and contribute to poor indoor air quality.

To solve this problem we've designed an acrylic enclosure specifically for resin printers. This is more than just throwing a case over the top of a printer; we've gone through many different designs and even built testing equipment to measure VOC levels pre and post-filter. The airflow has been modeled in CAD as well as smoke tested and verified with VOC detectors.

Operation

The enclosure is specifically designed and tested for the Formlabs 3 and 4 resin printers. There is plenty of room to open and close the top, and a separate top door to change resin. The Formlabs 4 model is identical to the Formlabs 3 except it is 4 inches taller.

Acrylic Thickness

This model uses thick, sturdy acrylic between 5.5mm and 6mm depending on the shipment.

Bottom vs No Bottom

We recommend not using a bottom because that makes it much easier to get the enclosure off and on again should you need to move or do maintenance on the Formlabs.

All Parts Included

All plastic parts are 3D printed in the best quality American-made ABS. It not only will withstand the heat year after year, but it's also one of the most rigid plastics to add that will make the enclosure sturdier. We proudly use the best ABS filament you can buy from Atomic Filament in Indiana.

Pro Quality American Made Acrylic

The panels are made in a factory in Ohio and cut on an American-built industrial laser, and then flat-packed for your assembly. All you need for assembly is just a hex wrench and a small Philips head screwdriver. (not included.)

Air Quality Management

Air quality tools such as air filters, adapters, and complete venting systems are sold separately. Compatible with these offerings from 3DUPfitters or customize for your own solution.
