DOES NOT INCLUDE the 3D PRINTER!

Creality is the go-to company for very large printers that won't break the bank.  The CR-M4 adds high hot-end temperatures, bed leveling, and a bed heater that goes to 100C, so you can theoretically print commercial-grade filaments like ASA, ABS, and nylon.  Even companies these days are on a budget, and buying a CR-M4 for prototyping and small is a $20K vs. $1K decision over the nearest large 3D printer competitor.

But without an enclosure, those filaments will warp terribly when you get an inch or two above the heat bed.  Even PLA with models 400mm high will have trouble with warping when it can take two days to finish, with the A/C or heat going on and off every hour.  We've done a lot of testing with this enclosure printing with ABS, and in a 72F room, the temps inside can get around 101F, which means the difference between a print finishing with very little warping and one that completely fails.  The vase in the main product photo was made with very old ABS in spiral mode but still printed perfectly.

Worried about your electronics overheating?  You don't have to because our enclosure includes air intake vents that bring in cold air from outside to the air intake vent of the CR-M4's metal frame.

Do you want to work on the hot end without removing the entire enclosure?   We designed a large door on the left at just the right spot.

Adding a 3DUpfitters enclosure provides many benefits:

  • More flexibility to print different types of filaments, including ABS
  • Better quality prints because the ambient temperature is controlled
  • Fume filter to reduce smell or vent to the outside (sold separately)
  • Quieter prints
  • Sturdy, thick, high-grade acrylic doors that allow easy access to the printer bed

    How it's Built

All of the plastic parts are 3D printed in ABS to withstand the heat from the enclosure. The 1/4" panels are cut on a CNC or laser and then flat packed for your assembly.   All you need for assembly is just a hex wrench and a small Philips head screwdriver.  (not included.)

    Includes

    • Outside dimensions 40" (Deep), 28" (Wide), 30" (Tall).
    • 1/4 acrylic panels.
    • Acrylic front panel with frame, doors, injection-molded hinges, magnetic latch, custom-designed latch mount in ABS, steel strike plates, and matching screws.
    • 12V 120x120mm fan.  (3D print a cover if you don't wish to vent.)
    • There is no bottom so you can lift off the cover easily.
    • 140 screws, nuts, bolts, hinges, and miscellaneous parts.

    Add-ons Sold Separately
