3D Printer External Ventilation Kit

Regular price $99.00 $110.00 Sale

This kit includes almost everything you need to vent your 3D printer to the outside.  What's not included is the window vent since that's so specific to your location.

Many people find the smell of plastic from a 3D printer to be particularly noxious, and the initial research on the long and short-term health effects of exposure to 3D printer fumes indicates that its probably toxic.  It's not much of a stretch to believe that breathing in melting plastic fumes is bad for you.

If you only print occasionally the risk is low, but if you are going to be printing a lot the CDC recommends venting the 3D printer gasses to the outside.  The other option is a filter, but even the best filters can't remove all of the particles, and then you have to change the filters.

The heart of this kit is the powerful 105CFM AXIAL S4 inline fan. It's got enough power to vent even the largest enclosure and the most noxious fumes.

This kit includes an adapter to go from the enclosure to the hose, a powerful inline fan, either 3m or 5m of the hose itself, nuts and bolts, and clamps.

3D Printer Enclosure Hole Sizes

Select the option for the size of the hole in your enclosure.  These holes are typically sized in metric to match fan sizes.  Each enclosure comes with a specific hole size, so if you aren't sure which size ventilation kit to purchase please contact us.

The one thing that's not included in this kit is a way to get the hose to the outside, shown as a "dryer vent" in the above illustration.  Some business customers hire a handyman to create a permanent hole through to an outside wall, and the many home customers often purchase one of the many compatible window-venting kits. This item is not included and must be purchased separately.

Reading the manual will get your installation going faster.
