3D Printer Cart - Discontinued

Note:  This cart fits ONLY enclosures for the Prusa MK3/S, Prusa Mini, LulzBot Mini

When you get a shiny new 3D printer and take it out of the box, the first problem you run into is where do you put it? They can take up so much room, especially with an enclosure, not to mention where to put all of the extra rolls of filament and tools.

We tried using a bunch of different carts meant for the kitchen or a utility room and just weren't happy with the result. They weren't the right size, had limited ability for DIY customizations, and were a giant hassle to assemble.

Here is the result of nine months of experimentation that produced several prototypes. As we used them in our print farm, it became apparent that no single design was going to satisfy everyone. Instead, it's a framework for you to configure as needed using either the models we provide or from one of the thousands of 20x20 compatible designs on Thingiverse.

Note that putting a 3D printer on a cart is intended for schools, libraries, and labs where space-saving and portability are priorities. The downside to a cart is that it's not as stable as sitting the printer on a heavy table.  Once you lock the wheels the cart is stable for most prints but can wobble a bit if you're printing a part with a lot of rapid back and forth motion.

The picture shows a spool holder. While it comes with one, you can print as many as you need and attach them anywhere. We also provide a tool holder, a power supply holder, a glue stick holder, and an attachment for the Prusa MMU2S filament organizer. The top has a cable grommet so you can hide cables.

The other thing we decided was it's important to have a cart that fits the size of your printer, so we are making several different sizes. This first release is for the Prusa MK3S, Prusa Mini, and LulzBot Mini. As the production line on this model is broken in, the carts will get bigger to fit the rest of the enclosures we sell.
