Shipping and Assembly Assistant
Greensboro 3D printing startup is looking for a part-time entry-level person in shipping and assembly. High school and college students are encouraged to apply. Someone with a demonstrated interest in 3D printing is preferred, but not required.
Starting pay is $16/hour with the opportunity to earn more depending on the skill set and ability to work independently. Flexible hours.
- Place 3D printed products into boxes so that the right purchased parts go to the right customers.
- Assemble parts kits following detailed instructions.
- Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds (although 95% of them are 25 pounds or less.)
There is room to grow in responsibility and wages for the right person with CAD design skills and mechanical aptitude. Other duties could include operating 3D printers, repairing 3D printers, or assembling product prototypes all of the way up to designing new products. This is a unique opportunity to create and ship products for customers like Harvard, Yale, and MIT, technology companies such as Boeing, Toyota, Intel, and Nikon, and a host of research laboratories, libraries, and small businesses.
Note: we follow all CDC COVID guidelines, including mask-wearing. The successful candidate will need to get a vaccine when available.
